All morning I’ve been singing, “Ice cream and cake and cake! Ice cream and cake and cake! Ice cream and cake, do the ice cream and cake! Ice cream and cake, do the ice cream and cake!” This cute catchy jingle is from a popular Baskin-Robbins TV commercial that advertises for the company’s ice cream cakes. While the ad is semi-funny (jumping dinosaurs and robots do put a smile on my face) and clearly low-budget, the jingle is pretty perfect. Every single time I hear someone say Baskin-Robbins, mention the word cake or talk about ice cream, this song pops into my head. I’ll never forget that Baskin-Robbins sells ice cream cakes and I’m pretty sure you won’t either.

And this got me wondering–what’s YOUR favorite advertising jingle or slogan? McDonalds? Daisy? Folgers? I’d love to hear some of your favorites.

    The Free Credit Report dot com “band” makes me cringe every time one of their commercials comes on. But I must admit, their jingles get stuck in my head and I can accurately recite their web address :)

    Thanks for your comment Lesley, and what a great example! I don't know about you but I had no idea what freecreditreport.com was before those commercials came out. Now, I could recite some of their songs (in their entirety) in my sleep. Clearly no matter how ridiculous or even annoying a commercial is, a catchy jingle can do the trick. Thanks for sharing.

    You crack me up! Don't have a favorite jingle, just have all these kiddie show theme songs stuck in my head…Dora, Dora, Dora the Explorer!

    You crack me up! I”ve never ever heard that before…I currently have the mickey mouse club song stuck in my head.
