Bon Voyage!

Well folks, it’s that time again… Time for the good ole family vacation. Yep, lots of quality time and memory making with the fam. It’s destined to be a fabulous time, as this trip takes us overseas! That’s right–we’re heading to Europe.

Besides documenting the trip through lots and lots of photography, making the daily phone call home to the boyfriend and the occasional e-mail checking, I will not be:

- Tweeting regularly;
- Checking Facebook;
- Texting friends;
- Reading the blogs in my Google Reader;
- Checking in on Foursquare;
- Watching videos on YouTube;
- Streaming Pandora; or
- Surfing the Web.

In fact, I fully intend on being much less in tune with technology during this trip. Bottom line–I need a breather. Tomorrow I embark on a much-needed, long-overdue, 10-day vacation. And I’ll fill you in on all the details upon my return.

    1) I'm jealous you're going to Europe. I've never been out of the US and I need to change that ASAP.

    2) Kudos to you for unplugging – I've been doing this much more often myself – completely unplugged during my honeymoon and it was amazing. We convince ourselves we need all this online stuff WAY more than we actually do.

    3) Have an amazing time…one of these days we'll get around to chatting! Promise.

    Have a wonderfully-awkward, food-induced-coma, run-out-of-battery-charge on the camera, late-night-booty-shakin, luxurious high-life, relaxing and Griswald-y European vacation! You deserve a break from the technology (just make sure to check in on me once in a while!).

    Thanks Matt–and bonjour from France! I'm having a great time and really enjoying being away. Been much more unplugged than usual and I must say, it's SO NICE. This is only my second time checking in since we left on Monday and it feels fabulous to disregard technology and just travel. And yes, Skype when I return? Have a great weekend!
